The FOGHORN
ROTARY CLUB OF HALF MOON BAY

THE Debunking of Dianne:

A Tale of Mayhem and Madness
A new play from the desk
of the
Tony* Award-winning playwright

Kevin O'Brien
(*Editor's Note: I think this is a typo and the T should be changed to a Ph, but who am I to wonder?)

Opening Number:
4 (yes, you count 'em, ALL 4) verses of AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!
Sung by the entire cast from left to right:  Dianne - Mary Corcoran;
Bo -  Kevin O'Brien; Rotarian 1 - Christine Quinn; Rotarian 2 - Ginger Minoletti;
Rotarian 3 - Stacy Trevenon; PE (just about to be P having been pinned
earlier in the evening) - Dave Andrews; Rotarian Spouse -  Doug; Cliff Dochterman
 (voice from the clouds) - Irwin Cohen
The audience was loving it!     Then for the DRAMA

ACT I, Scene I -  Putting the Colorado Rockies into Neat Lines - Dianne (played by
Mary Corcoran) singing (with that great Western 'can do' spirit)  that memorable tune
(with a few new lyrics) "The hills are alive with the sound of music. We work to arrange
all that God has wrought.  The landscape would be better off in my mind, if all of the hills
were in rows, nice and straight.

Act I, Scene II (the drama is building)
'
(Now understanding that the mountains were immovable,
Dianne is asked what happened next.)  "Oh! It was then that I met my Bo.........

Chorus: "Ground control to Colonel Bo"  and Kevin, oops, Bo responds:  "This is Colonel Bo
to Ground control.  I'm flying very high. And I'm chasing satellites across the sky.  Tell Dianne
I'm coming home, my mission's done and I'm alone.  I need to have her near to me to tell me
what is wrong with me"

ACT I, Scene III (Former RI President Cliff Dochterman's voice (Irwin) comes out of the clouds with some clever words of wisdom to the tune of "Yes Sir, That's My Baby"

Act I, Scene IV (by the way, there wasn't an ACT II)  Rotarian 2 (Ginger) is SO inspired she
bursts out, "WOW.  I am so inspired right now I could just end polio all by myself"
(Editor's Comment: That brought down the house!)

Final Number:  Cast rendition of 'You're a Grand Old Flag" with some funny new lyrics like "She's a grand old gal and she's organized as hell.)

THE END!
