Happy/Not So Happy News

Charise McHugh will be away next week in Atlanta where her son is involved in the filming of "The Last Full Measure" which, 34-years after his death, tells the story of Airman William H. Pitsenbarger, Jr. ("Pits") who was awarded the nations highest military honor for his actions on the battlefield. It is one of the great untold stories of the Vietnam era. Charise will be a person in the crowd in one of the scenes.

Mary Corcoran's oldest son, Daniel, is getting married in Mexico next week, and she and Bill are taking off right after Magic to be there. She will also be the

featured vocalist at an Odd Fellows benefit April 22 in "My Life in Music" by Peter Master. Peter Master has written over two hundred pieces for the piano. He regularly plays standards, show tunes, and popular songs at senior centers and retirement homes and at Coastal Rep. The evening will consist of selections from his solo piano pieces, his “Songs With Words,” and his four musicals, interpreted by Steinway artist Karen Hutchinson and local vocalists Peter Alexander, Avis Calhoun, and Mary.

Linda Crose-Andersen a check for her birthday to our Club Foundation.

Teresa Adam was feeling stressed after having 3 meetings this morning and forgetting one of them - her Big Cayote/Little Cayote meeting.

Mitone Griffiths is very excited about the 5 Freshmen girls who are swimming varsity at our High School. They are setting new records every week, and Mia is one of the best of them.
