Announcements
John Evans was host to 5 Rotary Exchange students from around the district during the Pumpkin Festival Weekend. They all stayed over and camped out on his living room floor. Students came from Brazil, Germany, France, Italy and Belgium. He also announced that the Interact Club was working at the SpinArt booth and did so well over the weekend. The SpinArt people said this was the best group of kids they've worked with and were pleased to have their help. There were 30 Interactors there and they were able to raise quite a bit of money.

Steve Anderson gave Dianne Bobko a ride to the airport to kick of the Rotary Rides to the Airport group. He picked up Dianne at 4am and was back in bed by 5am and collected $50 for the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay. Proceeds from Rotary Rides will go towards the dictionary program and exchange student expenses among other club projects.

Rose Serdy announced that Coastside Hope is taking applications for the Adopt-A-Family program. Each year the number of applicants increase and the needs are humbling. The club has committed to giving $300 and anyone else who would like to adopt a family is more than welcome and appreciated. Coastside Hope is looking for volunteers for the program, not just donations but also shoppers. Suggested donation per family member is $60-70 and since many choose to give cash, shoppers are needed to go and purchase items on the family's wish list.
