PRESIDENT LIZ SCHUCK'S YEAR ENDS WITH DEBUNKING

Busy Lizzie has been duly and truly debunked! Rumor has it that Liz is the only HMB Rotarian in our illustrious history to have been debunked twice in the same lifetime! Our emcee was new President Irwin Cohen, ably assisted by his spouse, Nancy Wolfberg. We began with a full-throated chorus tributizing (is that a word?) Liz, and Nancy added a "busy bee" interpretive dance, with Patricia Roma doing a recitation in full honeybee regalia. Liz was an extraordinary encourager during her term, recognizing every Rotarian for their individual efforts, with the result that we were recognized at the district level with a "Best Club" award and our membership grew significantly.
We celebrated this momentous event with a wonderful catered dinner at IOOF Hall (thank you Odd Fellows and Joe!). Hats off to Chef Ellie Angelini of tbsp of love for a memorable meal to accompany the good times. A number of us recalled favorite club moments of the last year, encouraged by liberal provision of wine courtesy of the Club.
After dinner Joe Brennan once again read a limerick he had written especially in honor of Liz, and Kevin O'Brien added his voice with a special song in tribute, and we all lifted Liz again in song. It was a pretty emotional evening for a debunking, and our love for Liz was a thread woven throughout the fun of debunking. Irwin, the bar is set pretty high for you by Liz, but we know you'll add strength to strength and we'll have another great year. Lobsters and pumpkins straight ahead, so let's get going!
